You will need to enable these in the course through the Zoom app. Polls launched during the class session can also be available for grading as assignments in the course GradeBook. ![]() Zoom will enable you to keep attendance more easily by integrating with Canvas. This will allow students to work together more easily on group projects or continue in their usual discussion groups. Starting August 15, when you schedule Zoom meetings from your Canvas courses, you will be able to set breakout rooms based upon the groups you have set previously in that course. This will go into effect by default on August 15, but you can go ahead and enable the change in your course settings under Feature Options. Learn more about the redesign in the Canvas Community post. Users can quote and mention other users in the course by using the symbol and the drop-down menu. Replies will be nested together in a side bar, and the number or total replies and unread replies will be displayed at the bottom of the post. Each individual user can toggle whether to have the newest or oldest post first using the “Sort” button in the top toolbar. The newest replies will display at the top of the page, rather than at the bottom. The interface for individual discussion and announcement topics will be larger.
